Look to your left. Now, look to your right. Is there a vintage camera beside you? Is there a vinyl record in sight? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you may be suffering from the new viral outbreak known as "Hipsterism".
Meet Jean-Blanche, formerly known as "Jonathan", who has recently discovered that he is suffering from Hipsterism. "You crave a Starbuck's coffee, or a trip on your bicycle to the Urban Outfitters down the road from your studio apartment. That's how it all begins."
"When I discovered that I was, indeed, a hipster, I didn't know what was so wrong about it." says Jean-Blanche. "And now, so many people are becoming hipsters, and ironically, it's becoming mainstream, you know?"
We asked Jean-Blanche about how he came out to his parents about his Hipsterism.
"My parents were, like, devastated." He told us. "They just don't get it. It isn't a disease, or a mental disorder. It's a life style choice."
We attempted to follow Jean-Blanche throughout the day, but stopped when he took us into an art museum and bored us to tears.
"Everyone else is just uncultured." He started. "I was too until this mysterious thing inside of me came along. Personally, I'm grateful for it, and I wish to spread it on to everyone as the years go by. But that's just me."
We wish Jean-Blanche luck on his quest to change the world as we know it.
