After reading the article entitled "The Top 10 Reasons We Deleted Your Comment", I can honestly say that I agree with the guidelines that NY Times have written about what they accept as appropriate commentary on their site. I do not blame them for censoring a comment if it was offensive in any manner. There is a difference between expressing an opinion and trying to upset a group of people. Guidelines are created to make people return to the site. No one wants to visit a site that offends them and puts them down because of their beliefs. I also believe that people should be required to leave their real name and email address when commenting online because many people tend to portray someone that they are not which can ruin someone's life if they are an existing person. I don't disagree with any of the guidelines because I believe them to be very fair.
